The Purpose of the council is to bring all elements of the Parish together including lay people and religious, together with their pastors, in order that they may work jointly to build the Parish as a living Christian community by identifying needs and gifts and bringing them together in ministry. They insure that the needs of the Parish are met, as well as the needs of other communities in the Diocese and the needs of the Diocese itself. Each parish member still remains responsible for the mission of their parish. The Council is simply a means of better effecting the responsibilites of the community as a whole.

The Finance Council oversees many of the administrative functions of the Parish. It monitors all revenue and expenditures. It prepares an annual budget for submission to the Bishop's office for approval. Together with the Maintenance Committee, it ensures that all the Church buildings and grounds are adequately maintained. It works closely with the Parish Council in planning Parish projects so each body can be confident there are adequate funds to see the project to its end.

We are a group of ladies joined in faith and fellowship to respond to God's call. In doing this we support our local parish and school financially and spiritually. As well as contributing to a foster child, three missions, cancer society, World Peace and Development, and women's shelter. Our Council is at the root of a large national organization of women in Canada (108,000 members). Women who believe that together we can create change in the world through assisting our parishes, communities and nation. The Catholic Women's League has made significant headway in presenting very important resolutions and is the only women's group to lobby government. No matter the color of one's hair, skin or choice of clothes, every lady is accepted with unconditional love.
